It was produced by Smiths to match the speedometer from a norton feathered aka atlas but function properly when being run power unit of proper triton which pre Triumph. The can has been glass beaded will need some polishing work.

The gauge itself is thought to be nos in perfect working order. The face needle are brilliant nice. This is a very rare odd instrument. The case on backside shows a fair amount of corrosion factory cad parted Smiths can.

So this tachometer being 4:1 Reverse rotation reads correctly on a pre unit Triumph though the units never came with magnetic Smiths.
