Pros of buying a 1979 Yamaha XT500 Tachometer (1e6-83540-f1):1. Accurate measurement: A tachometer is essential for monitoring engine RPM, which can help ensure optimal performance and prevent damage to the engine.
2. Original part: This tachometer is an original OEM part for the Yamaha XT500, which means it should fit perfectly and provide reliable operation.
3. Easy installation: The tachometer comes with all necessary mounting hardware, making installation straightforward and hassle-free.
4. Affordable price: Compared to new OEM tachometers, this used part is a more cost-effective option for restoring or maintaining your Yamaha XT500.
Cons of buying a 1979 Yamaha XT500 Tachometer (1e6-83540-f1):1. Used condition: Since it's a used part, there's a possibility that it may have some wear and tear, or it might not work perfectly.
2. Availability: Depending on the seller's location and stock, it might take some time to get the tachometer delivered.
3. Limited warranty: As a used part, it likely does not come with a warranty, meaning you will bear the cost of any repairs or replacements.
Conclusion:The 1979 Yamaha XT500 Tachometer (1e6-83540-f1) is a cost-effective and reliable solution for restoring or maintaining your XT500. However, since it's a used part, there's a risk of wear and tear or potential faults. If you're comfortable with inspecting the part upon delivery and taking the risk, it could be a great choice. If you'd prefer the peace of mind that comes with a warranty, you might want to consider a new part.
Recommendation:If you're looking to purchase the tachometer, I recommend researching the seller's reputation, inspecting the part upon delivery, and considering the warranty options they offer if any. If you're unsure about the part's condition or performance, it might be a good idea to consult a Yamaha XT500 expert or mechanic before making the purchase.
